The groundbreaking American tribal love-rock musical Hair celebrates the 1960s counterculture in all its barefoot, long-haired, bell-bottomed, and psychedelic glory. With chart-topping hits such as “Aquarius,” “Let the Sunshine In,” and “Good Morning, Starshine,”  Hair explores ideas of identity, community, global responsibility, and peace as it tells the story of a tribe of New York City hippies on the cusp of adulthood championing freedom, pacifism, and joy. They must confront a world thrown into chaos when one of their own receives a draft notice for the Vietnam War. Hair remains relevant as ever as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world.
